About Andhika

In the first glance we get a trace of Nicholas Saputra, especially his gazing eyes. But Andhika Pratama is not one necessarily needs to make use the benefit. He managed to make his way up in the showbiz without being overshadowed by the figure as prominent as Nicholas.

Andhika Pratama, known to most as Andhika, was born 24 years ago and raised in Malang, East Java. He's an actor, music presenter and now emerging singer. He'd been dreaming to be a musician ever since a little. He became the vocalist of a band when he was in high school and sang from cafe to cafe until the early years of university.

Upon his uncle's advice, in 2006 Andhika sent his portfolio to some talent managements in Jakarta. After five months of castings he landed on his first role in a film television called Saat Maut Menjemput (When Dead Calls) as Elang, the Trisakti University student who was shot dead in the May 1998 Tragedy.

Andhika showed his musical talent by singing the OST for the movies which he also starred in. He sang six of the OST for the film Love is Cinta (2007), and made a big hit for the OST The Butterfly (2007) with famous singer/songwriter Melly Goeslaw. Andhika also played a fragile musician in the film Ada Kamu, Aku Ada (There You Are, Here I Am) in 2008. He finally released his first single 'Kesalahan Terbaik' in 2009.

Despite his having big passion in music, Andhika shows that he's a versatile actor as well. He pulled off a subtle acting in Ada Kamu, Aku Ada as a poor musician, and then jumped to a comical pinky hair punk kid in Punk in Love.

A self-confessed introvert, Andhika states he always wants to play a role different from his real character. For his latest movie Satu Jam Saja where he plays with Vino G. Bastian, he picks his first bad guy character without loosing his subtle acting.

Andhika is definitely one to watch. Let's cross our fingers and hope to see him in more good movies.
